Shanxi Antai Group started its self-support import and export business since 1993. The holding subsidiary--Shanxi Antai International Trade Co., Ltd was incorporated in 1999, with registered capital of RMB60 million yuan and annual turnover RMB2 billion yuan. Supported by Antai Group, the company was mainly engaged in the sales of the products produced by the Group, purchase of part of raw material, import business for project construction entrusted by the Group, and the international and domestic trade for borderline products of the Group.
Since self-support export over ten years ago, the company has made great effort to promote manufacture standard and optimize the chain industry structure. Relying on the great bulwark of integrated service, the international market has been well extended and the foreign trade has been steadily developed. The company ranked 47th among the 100 most influential self-support import and export enterprises in Customs Head Office in 1996, and ranked 41th in 1997. The company exported goods to earn foreign currency US$60 million in 1998, ranked 467th of the China 500 largest import and export enterprises. It was placed the first batch of important self-support import and export enterprises by the State Economic and Trade Committee in 2000. It was awarded as one of 20 most influential town enterprises for export in the period of the ninth five-year plan in 2001. It was appraised as Tianjing Outstanding Enterprise by Tianjing Harbor Bureau in 2003.
Antai Group always gets well along with foreign enterprises and keeps participation of interest after entering the international market. Due to the close cooperative relationship between each other, Antai Group has acquired high reputation in international market and has conquered solid foundation for long-term development of the company. With rapid development of Antai Group, foreign clients come in a continious stream, and the supply of products falls short of demand.
While consolidating the contact of old customers, Antai Group actively develops potential long-term clients and pays special attention to end customers. The Group takes up certain rates in the main global coke markets. In May 2004, as the only manufacture enterprise of the six appointed export enterprises by the State Board of Trade, the leader of our company accompanied Prime Minister Wen Jiabao and Secretary Bo Xilai to visit EU. At present, we have signed long-term contracts with the largest steel group in the world--European Arcelor Group, the second largest in the world--Mittal Steel Company and the fourth largest--Riva Steel Company in Italy. With rapid increasing of influence, the Group is in high reputation in the export industry.
For the transport, we have self-support railway, goods yard in the port and professional managers to assure high quality of the exported coke.
